Located just 20 minutes north of Cairns Palm Cove is a sleepy town with an appealing laid back village atmosphere, lush tropical environment, cobble stone streets fringed by coconut palms and a long stretch of white sandy beach.

Double Island is certainly one of Tropical North Queensland's best kept secrets, offering the privacy and luxury of an exclusive island retreat but nestled only minutes off shore from Palm Cove.
The island is accessible only by launch from the Palm Cove jetty or a thrilling helicopter ride from Cairns, which provides stunning views of the Queensland coastline and the Coral Sea. All of the Double Island villas feature a luxurious open plan lounge and dining area, opulent marble bathrooms and fully equipped kitchenette, plus either a private plunge pool or outdoor spa.
Guests can enjoy the magnificent 25 metre heated pool or relax in the lounge chairs on the palm fringed sandy beaches. Those seeking a more active stay can enjoy the walking tracks on the island, catamarans, windsurfing and canoeing and Palm Cove is nearby for boating charters and snorkelling and dive trips to the Great Barrier Reef.

不然怎麼稱的上 Palm Cove呢
除了棕櫚樹外，讓人目不轉睛的就是那栩栩如生的大鳥
這隻大鳥到底是什麼來歷，根據那長長的尾巴艾瑞克推論應該是一種名為 Ribbon tailed Astrapia White-tailed Kingfisher的天堂鳥

這正是赫赫有名的天堂鳥花~

真實版的 天堂鳥花 (正式學名: 鶴望蘭)
那翩翩飛舞的蝴蝶有那麼點突兀
但仍讓人十分驚艷
根據那上黑下黃的斑點
簡單找了一下網路，應該亦為澳洲特有種 名為 Catopsilia pomona Delias mysis 的蝴蝶 (多謝 YaYa的補充)
